About the role
As the Lead Advisor – Marketing and Trading, you will be responsible for a wide range of activities across all aspects of Amplitude Energy’s marketing & trading function. This will involve developing commercial strategies, business development, origination and management of gas sales agreements, processing and transport agreements.

Based in Melbourne, this role is central to advancing our commercial performance, supporting growth opportunities, and strengthening stakeholder relationships.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and execute gas marketing, trading, and commercial strategies
• Originate, negotiate, and manage gas sales, transport, and processing agreements
• Use data analytics to enhance decision-making and market insight
• Maintain and improve commercial systems, processes, and contract databases
• Provide strategic input into M&A, business development, and regulatory matters
• Mentor junior staff and contribute to internal capability development
• Represent Amplitude Energy with customers, partners, and stakeholders to build strong, collaborative relationships.

About You

• Tertiary qualifications in Commerce, Economics, Finance, or Engineering or relevant industry experience
• 5+ years of commercial experience in oil & gas or energy markets
• Proven skills in commercial strategy, negotiation, and contract management
• Deep understanding of the gas market, regulatory frameworks, and trading dynamics
• Strong communication, leadership, and analytical skills

Previous trading experience in wholesale gas or electricity markets will be highly regarded, as will existing relationships with wholesale participants within the Southern gas and electricity markets.
